Western North Carolina to host mushers in Dog Events

This is Western North Carolina, 30 miles from Asheville. When I first heard about Dog Sled Racing and Mushers coming to our area, a little twinge of excitement ran through me.

I had to find out. Then we were asked to put together a photo Program and maybe a contest as well.

Sometimes we don’t get that much snow – Here what they do… put wheels on sleds.

It’s an activity that is spreading — At Maggie Valley NC,  near Waynesville, the dogs are coming — come join the fun — This will be the first year, mostly demonstrations but by year three Sanctioned races are planned… and if you attend a photo program there are drawings for Think Tank Photo Gear and Photo Framing by The Village Framer.
